It is good that it is getting a little more attention in the media because of the military (although their cost is high) with PTSD (which affects people like you and I just as easily as it can our military) as a “risk factor” for suicide. Having an “attitude of gratitude” as part of our philosophy or outlook on life from an early age certainly can help a person combat the challenges of life and come out better afterward. It’s never too late to practice gratitude, is it?

It’s sad to know that it was likely that very stigma that kept my first husband from reaching out to someone before he took his life.
